- Drive through scenic routes to Barkot, the gateway to Yamunotri. Stop at Kempty Falls in Mussoorie en route. Overnight in Barkot.

DAY 3 - Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot
- Drive to Janki Chatti and trek (6 km) or take a pony/palanquin to Yamunotri, the sacred source of the Yamuna River. Perform rituals and take a dip in Surya Kund. Return to Barkot. Overnight stay in Barkot.
